Hi Ian
Just been looking up the Twite /Linnet. I think they are Linnets, ln my book Linnets have a
flatter head than the Twite but what do I know, you did ask I don't know why because I
can't tell the difference between a Robin and a Red Deer. :oops: :oops: :oops:
Ps Did you hear any Gulls when we were there yesterday or did I imagine the silence.

I did hear the gulls but it didn`t seem as bad as usual.

It can`t be a Linnet because it doesn`t rhyme with Kite and it would spoil my whole thread. :lol: :lol: :lol:

I think you are right, it may be a female Linnet, below is a shot I took last Summer and the colouring is different, possibly a male.

A Kite init? and Linnet.
